Almost Over

Well my holidays are almost over. I go back to work on Monday, I can't believe that three weeks have gone by so quickly. I can honestly say that we had a great holiday. Did a lot of travelling, but got to see lots of fun things as well. The first week we went to Calway park and spent a couple of days with my family and then we all went to see "Walking with Dinasours" it was a great show. The second week we headed out to BC (as I had posted before). We just got home from my parents place. Had a wonderful time seeing all of my family. So fun to watch Emmalyn with my niece who is five, they are now at the age where they play so well together. Yesterday we had a family dinner/birthday celebration for my brother-in-law, his birthday is on Monday and then we went for a walk down by the river such a beautiful evening. I now have to get groceries, do laundry and do some yard work before heading back to work. It will be nice to get back to a routine.  Here are some random pictures from our holidays.

Can't Sleep

Not sure why, but I am wide awake.  I should be sleeping as we are going on another road trip.  This one will be shorter, going to visit my family for a couple of days.  I planned on being up bright and early so we could get an early start but this plan may have to be modified if I don't get to sleep soon.

Welcome

Well this is my very first post.  I am a little nervous.  I have never been able to really express myself in writing so we will see how it goes.  A little about myself.  I am 36 years old, married and have a beautiful little girl named Emmalyn who is two and a half.  She is the love of my life and makes me smile every day.  I also work full time as a paralegal, so life is pretty busy around here.  We also have a cat named Newt.  He is ten but acts like he is just a kitten.  Emmalyn loves him so much and is always trying to give him kisses and hugs.  It is a good thing that he has such a great temperment and never seems to mind.

We are on holidays right now and just got back from a road trip out to Vancouver island.  It was  the first time that Emmalyn got to play in the ocean.  Below are a couple of pictures.

The first two pictures were taken at a beach in Victoria and the last one was taken in Parksville.  Emmalyn loved the waves splashing against her and searching for seashells and throwing rocks.  The day we were in Victoria was a little windy, but that did not stop her from wanting to go into the water.  I love the picture of the footprints in the sand.

While we were on holidays we visited with family and friends.  We had a wonderful time, but nice to be home.  Well I guess that will be all for this first post, that didn't seem so hard.
