It seems like it has been forever since I last posted, well I guess it has since it has been six months since I last posted anything. Life has been super crazy around there. Where to start, we renovated our house, new bathrooms, tile floors and painting all in preparation for putting out house on the market. We did that a couple of months ago and it is still on the market, nothing happening with it so far, hopefully soon.
I love to spend time with my little girl, who by the way is not so little anymore, she is wearing size 4 and 5 outfits, and will be going to pre-school in the fall. Here are a few pictures from the spring when I took her to Sears.
I decided to attempt my first half marathon. I enjoy running, the feeling of accomplishment is so wonderful. I started training in February and run was on May 29. Hereis a picture of me after I had completed the half marathon, in much need of a shower LOL.
We have also been struggled through a rough period, when a very close family friend was diagnosed with terminal cancer. He was Emmalyn's Papa and such a wonderful man. He passed away on May 27, two days before I was to do the half marathon. I decided to dedicate the run to him and wore a sign on my back.
Dealing with his death and trying to explain it to a three year old has been one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. I did not know what to tell Emmalyn, as I struggle with the idea of heaven. I decided that I needed something that was tangible that she could relate to. Papa always loved butterflies, and she sees them all of the time, so what I told her was that Papa has gone to stay with the butterflies and whenever she sees a butterfly, Papa will be visiting her. I also gave her a butterfly necklace that was mine when I was a litt girl and told her that when she wears it that it will remind her of Papa and all of the fun they had together.

R.I.P. Papa
